DIY: Jewellery dish tray

I usually keep my Jewellery in little storage boxes just to make sure they don't go missing. But at the same time, it gets a little inconvenient especially when you're in a rush and taking them out of
boxes can become such a mess. An easy DIY solution is a fuss-free ring tray where I can throw my little knick-knacks in one corner and know they'll still be there the next day.

For this DIY tutorial, you'll need:
1. Sculpey clay (you can choose how many colours to mix)
2. An oven
3. A plastic knife
4. Gold nail polish or paint
5. A bowl

Step 1
- Take about 1/4 of sculpey clay for each colour and roll them into long strips.

Step 2
- Twine the two strips together and roll it into a ball. For a more marbled texture, continue to roll and mix the two colours.

Step 3
- Use a jar to flatten the clay into a thickness of about 0.5cm.

Step 4
- Place a bowl on the clay and use a plastic knife to carve out the edges.

Step 5
- Place the clay into the bowl for a slightly concave shape and bake it in the oven according to the time stated on the sculpey packaging. (Mine was 130 degrees for 30min)

Step 6
- After 30 min, remove the clay from the oven and allow it cool.

Step 7
- Add some finishing touches by using gold paint around the edges or alternatively, you can use gold nail polish which also acts as a varnish for your dish.

That's all! It took less than an hour to finish and was much easier than I expected it to be. Have fun trying this at home! :)
